I guess one day I should post here. Mainly I use this to read fics so I can comment. That's all I have to say.

I don't know what to say on this thing. I like having one so I can read comms and peoples LJs, but I don't think I'm upholding my end of the bargain. I need to find a way to contribute.

The current generation feels it shoudl be consequence free. I don't understand it. When you are wrong, you are wrong. No amount of 'oh but they are a good person' irraticates the fact you did wrong. Own up to your mistakes, apologize, then make amends. Sure, put yourself in their shoes do you don't make their mistake. Hope they learn from some peer critisism not to make the same mistake again. Coddling the problem because the 'good person' is upset doesn't make the wrong right. If they are truly a good person, they'll learn.

I've been reading fandom_secrets for a wihle now and today's secret made me think of my use-to-be fascination with tattoos. I've always been drawn to heavily marked character, male or female. I often gravitate toward people with visible tattoos I meet in real life, and yet, I do not have one of my own. It sometimes makes me think I'm so kind of double standard coward.

Broke down and used christmas cash to buy a used xbox 360. Now I have no excuse not to play Halo 2.

I hope everyone has a fantastic 2008. My resolution isn't what you'd call the most original, but I thought if I stuck a read more fic clause on it that might fix it.

I'm not sure I like the attitude directed at new fans.  'N00b' seems derogatory and arrogant for someone to assign. Everyone was new at first.  Why is it so difficult to explain a 'cut'? What is wrong with helping someone else out?  Fandom is a strange, wonderful, terrible place.  I like this blog site very much and want to find my place here.

Back from the christmas madness. Glad to see family and glad to get away from them. I hope everyone had a good holiday. Going back to work tomorrow only to have 4 days off again. I might get spoiled.

It might shape up to be a pretty good next year. Let's all hope so. I'm off for the holidays, will return in the bright and shiny 2008.

If only I'd know what it would be like at work today I might not have gotten out of bed. Catching up on FmA manga and just re-watched the end of the series. I wish I hadn't come to this so late and the fandom was still in it's heyday. But I still see a lot of activety in the comms and that makes me glad.

I have liked FmA for a while, but I finally started to read fanfiction.  I've decided, after reading many recommendations to try a broad variety and see where my feelings settle. I like reading just about anything, any genre, so I'll try to be as honest and unbiast as I can.  If you have recs for me, please give me links here.
